Those who (co-)own companies shape their future.
How do equity investors position themselves in the face of
structural economic transformation - and are they truly seizing
the opportunities it offers?
Our pioneering project brings answers to the table.
Our goal is to build a robust data foundation on how investment firms approach the transformation of their portfolio companies. We aim to enable them to benchmark their strategies and fund investors to better assess PE and VC investments – combining superior return potential with a targeted contribution to long-term economic competitiveness.
Fundamentally changing framework conditions are making the sustainable, future-oriented positioning of companies one of the key challenges of our time. From an ownership perspective, this is essential to ensure long-term competitiveness in the face of increasingly scarce resources. From an investor's perspective, such transformation-driven investments can offer attractive return potential. With our pioneering research project Transforming Performance, we are creating transparency and empowering decision-makers to pursue economically promising, transformation-compatible investments.
That's why we focus on private equity
Innovation and transformation are taking place to a particularly high degree outside of publicly listed companies. As a result, private capital investors play a vital role in driving this transformation. Entrepreneurs provide it almost naturally to support their own businesses. Private equity funds actively shape the transformation of their portfolio companies. Venture capital investors act as catalysts for innovation.
Creating transparency through metrics and peer comparisons
To date, there is a lack of data on how professional PE and VC investors position themselves with regard to transformation. This is where our project aims to create transparency. There is also a shortage of information on the transformation performance of non-listed companies. We are developing a dataset capable of assessing transformation efforts and, in doing so, supporting decision-makers in identifying where transformation-oriented capital should be allocated.
Position your firm at the intersection of transformation and performance – and contribute to the intelligence that defines tomorrow’s standards.
We’re happy to hear from you at any time. Feel free to reach out with any questions – or register as a participant to receive an invitation to our panel and access the online survey. Once registered, you can complete the questionnaire at your own pace. The field phase begins in July.
